These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Era Furniture website, including any purchase of products through it (the "Website"). By accessing the Website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

These Terms apply to online orders placed through the Era Furniture Website. Purchases made in person at our showrooms are governed by separate showroom terms of sale.

The Website is owned and operated by Era Furniture ("Era Furniture," "we," "us," "our"), a premium solid wood furniture manufacturer and retailer.

The Website is built and hosted on the Shopify e-commerce platform. Certain functions — including account creation, checkout, and payment processing — are facilitated through Shopify's infrastructure and its integrated third-party services, which have their own applicable terms and privacy practices.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into a legally binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, to place an order on the Website. By placing an order, you confirm that this condition is met.

3. Products and Product Descriptions

• Era Furniture manufactures solid wood furniture using kiln-dried timber and other materials as specified on individual product pages. We make every reasonable effort to display product images, dimensions, and specifications accurately.
• Natural material variation. Our products are made from solid wood, a natural material. Variations in grain pattern, tone, and texture between the product you receive and the images displayed on the Website are inherent to solid wood furniture and do not constitute a defect.
• Screen variance. Colours may appear slightly different depending on your device's display settings. This is not considered a manufacturing or delivery defect.
• Material composition. Our products are primarily crafted from solid wood. Depending on the design and functional requirements of a specific product, certain components may also use other materials such as engineered boards or steel, as specified on the relevant product page. Warranty coverage varies by component and material — full details are set out in our Warranty Policy.
• Made-to-order items. Certain products are manufactured to order following purchase. Estimated production and delivery timelines are indicated on the relevant product page and are approximate, not guaranteed.
• Era Furniture reserves the right to modify, discontinue, or update product designs, specifications, or availability at any time without prior notice.

4. Pricing and Payment

• All prices listed on the Website are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable GST and standard shipping charges, unless stated otherwise on the relevant product page or at checkout.
• Any additional charges beyond standard shipping — for instance, for remote locations, expedited delivery, or special handling — will be clearly disclosed at checkout before you complete your order. Delivery timelines and related terms are governed by our Shipping Policy.
• We reserve the right to correct pricing errors at any time, including after an order has been placed. If a pricing error is identified after your order is confirmed, we will contact you before proceeding, and you will have the option to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.
• Payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways integrated with our platform. Era Furniture does not store your card or payment credentials.
• An order is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment (or the agreed advance for made-to-order items) and issuance of an order confirmation by Era Furniture.

5. Order Acceptance and Cancellation

• Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. Era Furniture reserves the right to accept or decline any order at its discretion, including in cases of pricing errors, suspected fraud, product unavailability, or delivery limitations to your location.
• Cancellation of orders, particularly made-to-order pieces, is governed by our Return & Replacement Policy.
• Conduct towards staff. Era Furniture reserves the right to cancel any order, at any stage, where a customer engages in abusive, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate conduct towards our staff, delivery personnel, or representatives — whether in person, over phone, email, or any other channel. In such cases, any amount paid will be refunded in accordance with our standard refund process, less any costs already incurred (such as production costs for made-to-order items or return freight), where applicable.

6. Delivery and Risk

• Delivery timelines, procedures, and related terms are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
• Third-party logistics. Deliveries are carried out through independent third-party logistics and freight partners engaged by Era Furniture. While these partners operate under agreements with us, Era Furniture is not the carrier, and matters such as transit time, vehicle handling, and last-mile delivery execution are managed by the logistics partner. Shipments are covered by transit insurance arranged through our logistics partners. Era Furniture remains your point of contact for any delivery-related issue, and will coordinate with the relevant logistics partner on your behalf to resolve it.
• Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery, subject to the terms of our Warranty Policy and Return & Replacement Policy in respect of transit damage or defects.

7. Warranty and Returns

Warranty coverage and the return, replacement, and refund process are governed by our Warranty Policy and Return & Replacement Policy respectively, both available on the Website and incorporated into these Terms by reference. These policies set out the standard entitlements available to you — Era Furniture reserves the right to exercise discretion beyond them where doing so is fairer or more practical for a particular situation.

8. Intellectual Property

• All content on the Website — including product designs, photographs, graphics, logos, the Era Furniture name and brand marks, text, and layout — is the property of Era Furniture or its licensors and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws.
• You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on the Website without our prior written consent.

9. User Accounts

• Where you create an account on the Website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate and current information when creating an account or placing an order, and to promptly update it as needed.

10. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Website for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its systems, or related networks;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Website's operation, including through malware or automated scraping;
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or submit fraudulent orders or payment information;
• Reproduce, resell, or commercially exploit any part of the Website or its content without authorisation.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

The Website may contain links to third-party sites (such as payment gateways or logistics partners). Era Furniture is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third parties, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.

12. Limitation of Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Era Furniture's total liability arising out of or relating to your use of the Website or any order shall not exceed the value of the order in question. This cap does not limit the remedies available to you under our Warranty Policy or Return & Replacement Policy, which are governed by their own terms.
• Era Furniture shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of use or loss of data, arising from your use of the Website, except where such exclusion is not permitted by law.
• Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.

13. Force Majeure

Era Furniture shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms where such delay or failure results from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, strikes or labour disputes, transport disruptions, government restrictions, or shortages of raw materials. Where such an event affects your order, we will inform you and work with you on a revised timeline or, where appropriate, a cancellation with full refund.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Era Furniture harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Website.

15. Privacy

Your use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

16. Amendments

Era Furniture reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon posting to the Website, and continued use of the Website after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.

18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Ernakulam, Kerala.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
